Waarom is de Kerk van Nellius zo rijk?

De Kerk van Nellius doneert enorme geldbedragen aan de grote spelers binnen de ruimtevaart (1). Waar halen ze al dat geld vandaan? 

Daar is weinig over bekend, maar we weten wel dat het kapitaal van de Kerk in de miljarden moet lopen. Alleen al het onroerend goed, andere bezittingen zoals werken van wereldberoemde kunstenaars, kostbare juwelen en met goud en edelstenen versierde kerkschatten, heeft bij elkaar een geschatte waarde van rond de 900 miljoen euro in 2018 (2).

Daarnaast heeft de Kerk van Nellius invloedrijke vrienden, waarvan sommige zeldzame kostbaarheden hebben geschonken. 

Ook beheert de Kerk een onderzoeksinstituut in Californië, waar goedbetaalde testen worden uitgevoerd voor dezelfde ruimtevaartorganisaties waar het aan doneert. Daardoor verdienen de donaties zich automatisch terug. 

En dan is er nog de investeringsbank van de Kerk van Nellius gevestigd in Zwitserland, dat lucratieve zaken doet op mondiaal niveau (3).

WHY IS THE CHURCH OF NELLIUS SO RICH?

The Church of Nellius donates huge amounts of money to major players in space travel (1). Where do they get all that money from?

Little is known about this, but we do know that the Church's capital must run into the billions. The real estate alone, other possessions such as works by world-famous artists, jewelry and church treasures decorated with gold and precious stones, together have an estimated value of around 900 million euros in 2018 (2).

In addition, the Church of Nellius has influential friends, some of whom have donated rare valuables.

The Church also runs a California research facility that conducts high-paying testing for the same space organizations it donates to. As a result, the donations automatically pay for themselves.

And then there is the investment bank of the Church of Nellius based in Switzerland, which does lucrative business on a global level (3).
